Since those days, I’ve worked in a yarn shop, taught knitting, written for Yarn Market News, technical edited for Indi publishers and designers. I’ve consulted with yarn store retailers on content and merchandising. I’ve helped design (and knit) custom knitwear collections for Colette Patterns, Imperial Yarn and consulted for independent creatives. I’ve been fortunate to have learned about fashion, yarn production and manufacturing through my work with Pear Tree Yarn and Zealana. I’ve also worked for the iconic brand Pendleton as a knitwear, and cut and sew developer in the women’s wear department. My passion for fashion, tailoring, knitting, making and learning have led me to attending the fashion knitwear program at the Academy of Arts San Francisco and 7-years of coursework in the Japanese Nihon Vogue Master Hand Knitwear program. I’ve also owned a boutique international marketing communications firm in the technology industry. I’ve bounced back and forth between both industries for the last 15-years and have loved every minute of it. I’ve built countless & priceless friendships that (still) tickle me pink every day.
